+++ Description

The field is high temperature and high pressure
The PMXL-1 Platform is capable of treating 15 million cubic meters of gas per day and it will be attached to the seabed at a depth of 172 meters from the waterline
The platform also acts as a gas receiving hub, taking gas from the Uruguá and Tambaú Oil and Gas Fields and the Lula Oil Field
The gas produced in Mexilhão will be offloaded via a 34-inch offshore gas pipeline to the Monteiro Lobato Gas Treatment Unit (UTGCA) in Caraguatatuba, Northern Coast of the State of São Paulo.
Then, it is transported from the Caraguatatuba-Taubaté Gas Pipeline (Gastau) to the existing pipelines

**Saipem:** Gas Platform
**FMC:** 6 subsea trees, 2 subsea manifolds with multiplexed controls and related subsea systems
**Technip:** Engineering and procurement of 37km of 4 and 6 flexible flowlines
**Acergy:** Mexilhão gas export trunkline
**Nexans:** Supplying two different umbilical designs, totalling around 59 km in length, to connect the fixed platform to the subsea manifold and the manifold to the individual wellheads
**Tecna:** Basic Engineering, Mechanical Detailed Engineering, Procurement Management, Fabrication & Commissioning Assistance for the Gas and Condensate Dehydration Unit
**FoundOcean:** PMXL-1 Jacket Grouting

2001 - Mexilhao Gas Field discovered
2007 - Acergy awarded pipeline contract
2008 - Finance contract signed with Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) for the Platform
2011 - First gas produced
