Geology
- The field complex is a faulted anticline cut by a Paleocene-Eocene age east verging system of thrust faults known as the Infantas thrust. Established production is confined to the footwall closure (west) side of the Infantas thrust in Eocene to Miocene age fluvial-lacustrine sands of the Esmeraldas, Mugrosa and Colorado formations. The field is approximately 12 miles long by 4.5 miles wide.
