Description

  • Located approximately 260 km offshore Luanda in water depths ranging from 1,400 to 1,900 metres, the Kaombo project will develop six of the 12 discoveries already made in Block 32. The six fields (Gengibre, Gindungo, Caril, Canela, Mostarda and Louro) cover an area of 800 km² in the central and southeast part of the block
  • The field will utilise the Kaombo Twin FPSOs, each with 115,000 barrels per day capacity
  • The associated gas is exported to the Angola Soyo LNG Terminal

Contractors

  • **Saipem:** EPCI for the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of two converted turret-moored Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO)
  • Sembawang Shipyard: FPSO conversion
  • **Aker Solutions:** Delivery of 20 subsea manifolds and 65 vertical subsea wellsets
  • **Technip and Heerema:** engineering, procurement, fabrication, transport and installation of:
    • 18 rigid risers, of the Single Top Tension Riser (STTR) type, including large buoyancy tanks (~40m high, ~6m diameter), flexible top riser jumpers and riser base spools,
    • approximately 300 kilometers (km) of rigid pipe-in-pipe production and single pipe injection pipelines,
    • a large number of subsea structures, piles and steel jumpers.
  • **Technip:** Engineering, procurement and fabrication of 120 kilometers of umbilicals
