Summary Information
- Operator: Equinor
- Country: Norway
- Location: blocks 30/2 and 30/3, North Sea
- Production start: 2001
- Partners:
- Type: Gas And Condensate
- Estimated Reserves: Original
- 5.1 million Sm³ oil
- 17.5 billion Sm³ gas
- 0.1 million tonnes NGL
- Production Volume: 2013E

- Gas: 0.36 billion Sm³
+++ Description
- Huldra lies in blocks 30/2 and 30/3, about 16 kilometres from Veslefrikk Oil And Gas Field
- Huldra has been developed with a wellhead platform which ranks as the first Statoil offshore installation designed for normally unstaffed operation. This facility is being run from Veslefrikk B.
- Gas from Huldra is piped in a dedicated 140-kilometre line to the Heimdal Gas Field for processing and onward transmission by pipeline to continental Europe. Condensate is piped to Veslefrikk for processing.
+++ Contractors
- **Aker Verdal:** Construction of the platform jacket
- **Saipem:**
- Phase 1 - platform jacket installation
- Phase 2 - platform topsides installation
- **Mærsk:** Drilling of production wells using the Mærsk Gallant rig
- Constructed at Kværner's Rosenberg yard in Stavanger, the Huldra topside was shipped out and installed on the jacket in the spring of 2001.
+++ History
- 1982 - Statoil proved the field
- 1999 - Development work began
- 2001 - The gas and condensate field was brought on stream
- 2011 - A fire occurred in an air compressor compartment
- 2014 - The field is closed down
+++ Geology
- The reservoir is in Middle Jurassic sandstones of the Brent Group in a rotated fault block. The reservoir initially had high pressure and high temperature and lies at a depth of 3 500 – 3 900 metres. There are many small faults in the field, and reservoir communication is uncertain, but the production history indicates two main segments without pressure communication.
