+++ Description
- The field is utilising a three well subsea template tied back to the ARCO operated Thames platform, nine miles to the South West, by a 12 inch export pipeline and control umbilical.
- The field is remotely controlled
- Gas from the field is transported to the Thames complex and then on to the Bacton terminal in Norfolk
+++ Contractors
- **Subsea 7:** Gawain Manifold
+++ History
- 1994 - Project development approved by UK Government
- 1995 - First Gas From Gawain Field
- 2001 - Tullow buys the field from BP
+++ Geology
- Gas is produced from the Leman Sandstone Formation of Early Permian age. The reservoir section is comprised predominantly of stacked aeolian dune sands possessing excellent poroperm characteristics. The structure is a complex NW-SE trending horst block with a common gas-water contact at 8904 ft TVDss. Low structural relief has presented a major challenge to field development, which has utilized extended reach wells to maximize drainage potential
