History
- 1939 a coastal terminal is completed in Falconara Marittima (Ancona) at a strategic location at the center of the Adriatic coast.
- 1949 obtained a concession for the processing of crude oil (200,000 t / y) in Falconara Marittima. Construction began on the first plant distillation (topping) and all related services
- In December 1950 the refinery in Falconara Marittima enters production.
- 1951 -1954 the following plants are added, petroleum reforming, catalytic desulfurization of gasoline, and plant visbreaking to increase the the yield of middle distillates.
