Description

The Cendor field is located in the northeast corner of Block PM304 in about 70 metres of water with principal producing horizons in the H Group of Middle Miocene sands. Base reserves are estimated to be 20 million barrels of oil with significant upside potential.
The development of the field, involved the first mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) in Malaysian waters connected to a spread moored floating storage and offloading unit (Cendor FSO) via a flexible submarine pipeline.
The second phase of development involved the Cendor II FPSO and was commissioned in 2014
It will utilise 2 wellhead platforms, CDW-B & CDW-C
After Cendor the West Desaru, Irama and East Cendor fields were developed in the same Block

2001 - Cendor Oil Field discovered by Amerada Hess
2004 - Petrofac Resources acquired the Amerada Hess subsidiary which owned an interest in the Cendor field
2006 - Commencement of Production from Cendor Field, Malaysia
2013 - Extension of the reserves found
2014 - First oil from Phase 2
2021 - East Cendor Field Achieves First Oil Production
