Summary Information
- Operator: Total
- Country: Angola
- Location: Block 17
- Production start: 2014
- Partners: Total - 40%, Statoil (23.33%), Esso (Block 17) Limited (20%) and BP (16.67%).
- Type: Oil & Gas
- Estimated Reserves: The proved and probable reserves are estimated at approximately 500 million barrels of oil
- Production Volume:
Description
- The development consists of four fields, Cravo, Lirio, Orquidea and Violeta
- These fields are located in Block 17 offshore Angola in water depths of 1,100 to 1,400 m
- The project comprises 34 wells and 8 manifolds connected by 180 km of subsea pipelines to the [[[Clov FPSO]]] unit
- The gas produced on CLOV will be exported via a subsea line to the onshore [[[Angola Soyo LNG Terminal]]] liquefaction plant
Contractors
Phase 1
- Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Eng. Co. Ltd. (DSME): Engineering, procurement, installation and construction of FPSO
- **KBR:** Detailed design of topsides
- **Technip:** 76 kilometers of dynamic and static production and water injection umbilicals
- **Subsea 7:** Engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of 130km of pipes
- **FMC Technologies:**
- Fabrication, assembly and testing of 36 wellhead systems and 19 subsea trees
- Manufacture of 7 complete manifold systems
- Critical equipment testing, offshore installation support and equipment refurbishment
- **Vallourec:** Supply of 28,500 tons - or 200 km - of coated seamless line pipes and bends
- **JDR Cable Systems:** Design, manufacture and testing of 9 umbilical and reeler systems
- **KWsubsea:** Lateral buckling and pipeline walking assessment and mitigation design for pipeline systems
History
- 2010 - FMC awarded subsea production equipment contract
- 2010 - KBR awarded topsides contract
- 2011 - Technip awarded umbilical contracts
- 2013 - The FPSO arrived in Angola
- 2014 - CLOV begins production
Geology
- The development will produce two types of oil: one with a 32 to 35° API gravity from the Oligocene reservoirs (Cravo-Lirio) and the other, more viscous, with a 20 to 30° API gravity from the Miocene reservoirs (Orquidea-Violeta)
