Brief Description

  • Atlantic is the operator of a four-train liquefaction facility located at Point Fortin on the southwest coast of Trinidad, and is one of the largest exporters of LNG in the world.
  • Each Train is ultimately owned by a holding company which comprises its own group of Member companies.
  • The four train LNG liquefaction plant is located in Point Fortin, on the southwest coast of Trinidad.
  • Gas is supplied from a large number of offshore fields, via the Beachfield Gas Processing Plant

  • 1996 - Construction of the project began

  • 2005 - Train 4 was commissioned
  • 2010 - Atlantic loads its 2000th Cargo
  • 2011 - CIC purchases a 10% stake in the terminal
  • 2013 - Shell acquires Repsol's stake
  • 2015 - Shell acquired BG Group and became majority owner
