Description

  • The Aasta Hansteen development contains three significant gas discoveries in the Vøring Basin, in the Northern Norwegian Sea, Luva, Haklang and Snefrid Sør. The expected recoverable net volume is estimated at 40 – 60 mn boe of gas and 0.8 – 1.0 mn boe of condensate in a water depth of approximately 1,300 m
  • With a total hull length of 193 meters and a draught of 170 meters, the Aasta Hansteen (formerly named Luva) Spar platform is the largest of its kind, capable of producing 812 million cubic feet (23 million cubic meters) of gas a day and storing 160,000 barrels of condensate.
  • Gas is transported to Norway via the Polarled Gas Pipeline
  • Gas is processed at the Nyhamna Gas Plant
  • Snefrid Nord includes one well in a subsea template tied back to the Aasta Hansteen field by a pipeline and an umbilical
  • The Irpa Gas and Condensate Field is being developed as a tie in.
