- The Ionian Adriatic Pipeline (IAP) connects the existing and planned gas transmission system of Croatia with the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline TAP
- The IAP will have a bidirectional gas flow and it will be fully compatible with the Hrvatska LNG Terminal on the island of Krk
- The project aims to establish a new supply route for natural gas from the Middle East and Caspian region along the Adriatic coast.
