This unit will enable the production of diesel through deep conversion of the heavier fractions of crude oil. In addition to the main plant, it will be built a steam reformer for producing hydrogen and a unit for recovering sulphur from produced gases, both of which will be necessary for operating the hydrocracker Main Contractors: Tecnicas Reunidas: Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) contract Refining Units Hydrocracker - 43,000 bpd steam reformer Sulphur Recovery Terminal Capacity Crude Oil: Refined Products: Crude Supply This technology will make more flexible the selection of crude oil to be processed, which will allow the purchase of heavier crude oil for processing in the distillation column Products Produced Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel History 2009 - Financing agreement signed with EIB 2009 - Galp Energia and Tecnicas Reunidas signed a Lump Sum Turn Key (LSTK) contract 2013 - The hydrocracker starts production Other Information The project is partly financed by the EIB
