The Project

  • Project Summary: The program aims to increase by 38 percent the refinery’s crude processing capacity (from 3.6 million tons to 5 million tons per year), achieve fuel compliance with the EU standards, as well as compliance with the European environment protection regulations
  • Phase 1: Revamp of FCC, Gas Desulphurization and Sulphur Recovery unit
  • Phase 2: Addition of mild hydrocracker unit and hydrogen plant
  • Phase 2: The Delayed Coking Unit Revamp: The estimated value of the project amounts to USD $50 million, and its completion, planned for 2012, will support both the increase in productivity of basic products and the improvement of environmental conditions.”
