History

  • 1960 - Completion of dry gas sweetening plant by MEA methods
  • 1999 - LUKOIL acquired 58% of Neftochim Burgas for $101 million in what would later be labeled the privatisation deal of the year in Bulgaria.
  • 2002 - Revamp of elemental sulfur recovery unit
  • 2009 - Clean-fuels plants for diesel and gasoline desulphurisation are commissioned
  • 2009 - Sulphuric Acid Alkylation plant commissioned
  • 2010 - Prime G Unit completed
  • 2015 - The residue hydrocracker project was completed
  • 2020 - Lummus awarded contract for polypropylene plant
