- Project Type: Expansion of existing refinery
- Project Summary: HMEL plans to increase the capacity of the refinery from the current 9 MMTPA to 11.2 MMTPA through selected debottlenecking/expansion investments (the “debottlenecking/expansion project” or ”the Project”). The debottlenecking/expansion project will help increase the throughput of the refinery by 25% by making a relatively smaller investment of approximately 15% of the capital cost of the existing facility. The Project will take approximately four years to complete from award of contract (early 2013) to mechanical completion and pre-commissioning.
