Gjøa Oil and Gas Field

Gjøa was discovered in 1989. It is a combined oil and gas field located off the coast of the Norwegian city of Florø.
Statoil (owner of 20 %) is the operator in the field development phase, while Gaz de France (30 %) will be the operator. The other partners are Petoro (30 %), AS Norske Shell (12 %), RWE Dea Norge AS (8 %).
The. Camilla, Belinda and Fram B fields (known as CBB and operated by Hydro) will be connected to the Gjøa semisubmersible platform by a common flowline subsea tie-back solution.
Gas from the Gjoa platform will be exported to Scotland via the British pipeline Flags, while the oil will be transported in the Troll Pipeline II to Statoil's Mongstad Refinery near Bergen, Norway.
The Gjøa production facilities topsides measures 110 meters long and 85 meters wide and weighs in just below the 20.000 tonnes mark. The hull weighs 14.200 tonnes.
The Vega Gas and Condensate Field is tied back to Gjoa
The Gjøa P1 segment is located in the northern part of the field and is tied back to the existing infrastructure via a 5 km oil pipeline and a 2 km gas pipeline. The project is a two-well development with one oil and one gas producer.
Duva was developed as a subsea installation with three oil producers and one gas producer in a tie-back to Gjøa. The field is operated from the Gjøa semi-submersible platform via a dedicated umbilical.

Nova is located in the Norwegian North Sea, about 120 kilometres northwest of Bergen and approximately 17 kilometres southwest of Gjøa. The water depth is roughly 370 metres. The Nova field consists of two subsea templates, one with three oil producers and one with three water injectors, tied back to the Gjøa platform.
The expected recoverable gross reserves from the field are estimated at 90 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), of which the majority will be oil.

The reservoir contains gas above a relatively thin oil zone in Jurassic sandstones in the Viking, Brent and Dunlin Groups. The field comprises several tilted fault segments with partly uncertain communication and variable reservoir quality. The reservoir depth is about 2 200 metres.
