The Project

  • Description: The project is the largest ethylene integration project in the world. It will be comprised of two ethylene cracking trains with an annual capacity of 1.4 million tons each.
  • Constructor:
    • McDermott: extended basic engineering
    • China National Chemical Engineering and Construction Corporation Seven: EPC contractor
  • Licensors:
    • Axens: Providing AlphaButol® technology for the production of high purity 1-butene by ethylene dimerization and AlphaHexol™ for the production of high purity 1-hexene through ethylene trimerization.

Production Units

  • Ethane crackers - 1.4 million tpa * 2
  • Polyethylene units - 500,000 tpa * 6
  • 1-butene - ethylene dimerization unit - 60,000 tpa *2
  • 1-hexene - ethylene trimerization unit - 50,000 tpa
